Privacy Policy

1 Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how FingerDeck ("the App"), developed by Suparain ("we", "us", or "our"), handles information when you use our Android application.

By installing and using FingerDeck, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please uninstall the App.

2 Information We Collect

We collect no personal information. FingerDeck does not require account registration, and we have no servers that receive or store data from your device.

What the App processes locally (never sent to us)

• Bluetooth device information — Names and MAC addresses of nearby and previously paired Bluetooth devices, used solely to display them in the device list and establish a connection. This data never leaves your device.
• Custom Grid profiles — Button labels and keyboard shortcut mappings you create. Stored in the app's local Hive database on your device only.
• App settings — Preferences such as haptic feedback, theme, keep-screen-on, and auto-reconnect. Stored locally in the app's Hive settings store.
• Pro upgrade status — Whether you have purchased the Pro upgrade. Stored locally and verified by Google Play Billing at purchase time.

3 App Permissions

FingerDeck requests the following Android permissions:

Bluetooth permissions

• BLUETOOTH_SCAN (Android 12+) — Required to discover nearby Bluetooth devices.
• BLUETOOTH_CONNECT (Android 12+) — Required to connect to paired Bluetooth devices.
• BLUETOOTH / BLUETOOTH_ADMIN (Android 11 and below) — Legacy Bluetooth access.

Bluetooth is used exclusively to communicate with your PC via the HID (Human Interface Device) profile. All communication is device-to-device; no data is routed through the internet.

RECORD_AUDIO (microphone)

Required for the voice input feature in Text Sender mode. FingerDeck uses the Android SpeechRecognizer API, which sends audio to Google's speech recognition service for processing.

FOREGROUND_SERVICE / POST_NOTIFICATIONS

Used to maintain the Bluetooth HID connection in the background (e.g., when the screen turns off) and to display a persistent notification indicating the connection status. No personal data is involved.

VIBRATE

Used to provide haptic feedback when pressing virtual buttons (Pro feature). No data is collected.

WAKE_LOCK

Used to keep the screen on while the app is in use (optional setting). No data is collected.

4 In-App Purchases

FingerDeck offers an optional Pro upgrade (one-time purchase, $2.99). All payment processing is handled exclusively by Google Play Billing.

Suparain does not receive, process, or store any payment card details, billing addresses, or financial information. Please refer to Google's Privacy Policy for details on how Google handles payment data.

The App queries Google Play to verify your purchase status each time it launches. This query is made via the standard Google Play Billing library and does not expose any personal information to us.

5 Third-Party Services

FingerDeck integrates with the following third-party services:

Google Play Billing

Used to process the Pro upgrade purchase. Governed by Google Play Terms of Service and Google's Privacy Policy.

Android SpeechRecognizer (Google)

Used for voice-to-text input in Text Sender mode. Audio is processed by Google's servers. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy. You can disable voice input by simply not using that feature.

We do not use any advertising SDKs, crash reporting SDKs (e.g., Firebase Crashlytics), or analytics SDKs (e.g., Google Analytics, Mixpanel).

6 Bluetooth Data Transmission

FingerDeck transmits HID (Human Interface Device) reports — keyboard keycodes, mouse movements, and similar input signals — directly to your connected PC over Bluetooth. This is functionally identical to using a physical wireless keyboard or mouse.

These HID reports contain only input signals (e.g., "key pressed: A", "mouse moved 5px right") and no personal information. The data is sent only to the device you explicitly choose to connect to. Suparain has no access to this communication.

7 Data Retention & Deletion

All data stored by FingerDeck (settings, profiles, Bluetooth history) resides in Android's app-private storage. It is automatically deleted when you:

• Uninstall the App, or
• Use Android's "Clear App Data" option in Settings → Apps → FingerDeck.

Since we collect no data on our servers, there is nothing to request deletion of from us.

8 Children's Privacy

FingerDeck is a general-purpose productivity utility not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Since the App collects no personal data from anyone, this concern is moot — but we state it here for clarity and compliance.

9 Security

Because FingerDeck does not transmit personal data to external servers, the risk of a data breach on our end is zero. Your locally stored data is protected by Android's standard app sandboxing and, on supported devices, hardware-backed encryption.

The Bluetooth HID connection itself is encrypted by the Bluetooth protocol between your phone and your PC.

10 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.

For material changes, we will display a notice within the App.

11 Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal data under applicable law (e.g., GDPR, CCPA). As FingerDeck collects no personal data, these rights are satisfied by default — there is no personal data for us to access, correct, port, or delete.
